Mobile Catering Vans
Mobile catering vans require Gas Certification every year on a CP44 form.
This form is required for the Environmental Health Officers to approve your van to trade. The engineer who issues the certificate must have CMC (Commercial Mobile Catering)Certification. The EHOs check the engineer’s certification online to ensure he has this qualification.
All of our engineers have CMC Certification.
Edinburgh City Council have put our details in their pack for street traders, as a company to contact for gas certification for the Edinburgh Festival.
Combination ovens require engineers who are trained and certified to repair them. If it is a Gas powered oven then the engineer requires Comcat 5 Certification otherwise he should not be working on this type of oven. All of our 6 engineers are Comcat 5 certified and have been on additional training with either Rational, MKN or Blue Seal to augment their certification.
We are sometimes called upon by other catering engineering companies to look at their customers’ combination ovens, as our engineers are well respected in the industry.
We are service partners for both MKN and Blue Seal for this type of equipment.
Our engineers are well trained in all types of catering equipment:-
water boilers, fryers, grills , ovens, ranges, dishwashers, glasswashers and hot cupboards. If it is electric or gas catering equipment then we can repair it. The list is endless and being added to as new equipment comes out.
If we find a new item of equipment that we do not know about, we will undertake the appropriate training so that we can fix them.
We also service refrigeration for a number of sites, subcontracting this to G2 Refrigeration. Over the years we have built up an excellent relationship with G2, who look after our customers very well.
